Over forty years ago, Southwest Livestock Exchange was created. It was all about a dream of a young boy who loved cattle. Never could I have imagined that I would have been blessed as richly as I have. I began Southwest Livestock at the age of 24, with my wife Nadine alongside until her untimely death in 1981. My son-in-law, Jimmy Speer, has been working in the business as well for over thirty years. In addition, my daughter, Melody, and grandsons, Justin and Cline are all involved in different aspects of agriculture. So, to be able to live out your dream, day in and day out, in the world of agriculture is a true blessing. Every day I have had the opportunity to work with folks who have strong morals, love the land, the rural way of life, and believe in the ideals which our country was founded. It is an honor and a privileged to be a part of this community and know that in a small way I am doing my part by helping others so that we can all continue to build a strong, sustainable agriculture for today, and the generations to come.
