We had a good quality run this week. Packer cows and bulls sold $2.00 - $4.00 lower. Calves and yearlings sold $3.00 - $5.00 better on more conditioned cattle. We look for a similar run next week.

We accept sheep, goats and cattle from restricted areas with TAHC paperwork. To schedule movement, call TAHC at 737-900-7455 or 737-292-9983. All other animals need no paperwork.
Check Your Address on the TAHC Restricted Zone Map. Type your address in the search bar to see how close you are to a restricted zone.
Checks are available for pickup through 10:00 AM on Wednesdays and Fridays. Checks not picked up by 10:00 AM are mailed.

Joe Hargrove was skipping high school classes to buy and trade cattle. At 24, he and his wife Nadine opened Southwest Livestock Exchange in Uvalde.
Their son-in-law Jimmy Speer has worked the barn for over forty years. Today Jimmy and Melody Speer own it, with their sons Justin and Cline carrying the family into the next generation.
